Samsung may shift handset production capacity to India, Indonesia: Report

South Korean handset maker Samsung is planning to rejig its smartphone production strategy and may shift some production capacity to India and Indonesia by investing a cumulative $140 million, said a media report.

Its factory in Indonesia will upscale capacity to 18 million units per year during the same time frame, with an investment of $50 million, said the report.
